It gives me immense pleasure to serve as the convener for the Third Navika Kannada Utsava in Bangalore. As you all know, Navika has organized two successful kannadotsavas in 2011 and in 2014, and we want to continue the tradition.
The main reason I accepted this responsibility is that I love everything about Kannada Art and Culture. I am very fortunate to be a Kannadiga – Karnataka is home to a beautiful culture and simple and peaceful people.
At this convention, our main mission is to bring our community together. While we all participate in events in our own cities and homes, this is a great opportunity for all of us from around the world to come together and showcase our talent to Kannadigas back home.
Our goal is to line up two days of wonderful unique programs in categories including Dance, Drama, Music and Performing Arts. I humbly request all Kannada Koota members to come forward and collaborate with each other to make this program successful. Please join us in any way you can, including by being a volunteer or a performer. We especially want to encourage more Yuva Kannadigas to join and take our culture to a higher level. We currently need a number of people to work in various committees, and we are positive that we can find a place for anyone who wants to be involved.
